If you parked outside last night, you likely have hail damage on your vehicle. Caseyville, Fairview Heights, and O’Fallon all had damaging hail. And, reports are still coming in.

The damage will be hard to see when it is wet. But when it dries out, be sure to check for damage. It is best to look for damage when the car is freshly washed, and is out of direct sunlight, in a shaded area.

If you see a couple dents, there are likely many more that are less visible. Although the damage may appear minor. It will have a significant impact on the value of your vehicle.

And understand that hail damage is an “Act of God” and is treated as a comprehensive claim. So, filing a claim will not effect your rates.
